The demand for sodium Sulphate is increasing in both the local and
international markets. It has a wide range of uses , in detergents and
other industrial purposes such as glass, textile dyeing , paper, medical
industries, animal feed and some compound fertilizers. |

The product proved its compliance with the international specifications
as to chemical analysis, physical properties and with grain size
distribution. Moreover, EMISAL produces an extra pure sodium Sulphate
with less than 0.2% sodium chloride suitable for the manufacture of
plane glass. |

The marketing policy of the company moves along two lines: |
|
|
I) To cover
the domestic need and protect the Egyptian consumer from going back to
importing the salt .
II) Export the surplus production to the international markets. |

1- The Local Market: |
|
|
|
The Anhydrous Sodium Sulphate produced by EMISAL was well received by
the local market. Now it covers all its demands. Total production during
the period 1997 - 2003 is 485.400 tons valued at about 281.7 million
Egyptian pounds. |
