The First Project: Production of Mg metal. |

EMISAL Company has started the study for production of Mg Metal using
MgCl2 as raw material. |

The team study consist of experts from: |

- Egypt Aluminum Company in addition of EMISAL company
|
|
They have made study to show the possibility to establish a production
unit for Mg metal with capacity 100 kg/day |

Second Project: Production of Soda Ash: (Sodium Carbonate) |

|
|
Sodium
Carbonate is the main important chemical substance enter in manufacture
of glass, soap, industrial cleaners and other chemical compounds. |

|
|
The Domestic request from Soda Ash is 100 thousand tons, but the local
production is about 67 thousand tons annually from one company
(Alexandria Sodium Carbonate Company) . |

Proposal for establishing Soda Ash plant with production capacity is
about 100 thousand tons annually in Fayoum due to the following:. |

|
1- The big amount of salt ore (NaCl) extracted from Quaron Lake.
2- Saving lime stone with purity 99% in El Menia.
3- Coke Coal for manufacture processing could be get from " El Nasr Coke
and Chemical Company".
4- Ammonia which enter as a catalyst, recycle more than time, getting
from local fertilizer companies. |

stone and 0.8 ton coke coal". |
